A Journey Sparked by Loss
In 2015, Salomi M. faced a life-altering moment. The sudden loss of her father to diabetes and a heart attack left her devastated, but it also ignited a realization that would shape the rest of her life: health is fragile, and prevention is essential. For Salomi, this was not just a personal tragedy—it was a wake-up call.
Two months later, she stepped into the fitness industry. What began as a personal quest to understand health and wellness soon grew into a mission to help others avoid the pain she had endured. That decision marked the beginning of an eight-year journey that would transform her life and the lives of countless women she now coaches.
From Science to Corporate Success
Salomi’s foundation was built on science. With a Master’s degree in Microbiology, she began her career as a lecturer, teaching undergraduates and postgraduates. This role nurtured her love for education and gave her a deep understanding of the human body and its complexities.
Her career then took a turn toward corporate leadership. Armed with a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management, she entered the world of multinational corporations. Over 17 years, she worked with Caterpillar, IBM, Dell, and more, excelling in roles that demanded leadership, organization, and people management. She even served as an Associate Director in an immigration services startup, gaining valuable entrepreneurial experience.
At Caterpillar, she chaired the well-being committee, leading employee wellness initiatives long before fitness became her full-time calling. These experiences gave her a unique blend of scientific knowledge, corporate discipline, and leadership skills—qualities that would later define her approach to fitness coaching.
The Turning Point: Personal Struggles
While the loss of her father sparked her entry into fitness, her own health challenges deepened her commitment. In 2021, Salomi was diagnosed with Diastasis Recti and Umbilical Hernia, conditions that weaken the core and often leave women feeling helpless.
She underwent laparoscopic surgery in 2022. Through disciplined rehabilitation, she healed herself—a process that demanded patience, resilience, and determination. This personal victory gave her a new mission: to help women facing similar struggles reclaim their strength and confidence.
Building Expertise
Salomi’s credibility in the fitness industry is backed by an impressive array of international certifications. She pursued knowledge relentlessly, earning qualifications that span the globe.
Her certifications include Gold’s Gym Advanced Personal Trainer, Female Fitness & Special Population Trainer (2017), Zumba, Strong Nation, Bollybeats (2019), NASM/AFAA Group Fitness Instructor (2020), ACE Personal Trainer & Nutrition Expert (2021, 2023), INFS Fitness & Nutrition Consultant (2022), and specialized courses in Women’s Wellness, PCOD/PCOS, Postnatal Fitness, and Menopause Coaching (2024).
Each certification added depth to her expertise, but more importantly, they allowed her to specialize in women’s health issues—from postnatal recovery to PCOS and menopause.
Educator and Mentor
Her love for teaching resurfaced when she joined The FitClub Academy in Bangalore. Here, she trains future fitness professionals in specialized courses such as Postnatal Fitness, PCOD/PCOS Lifestyle Management, and Menopause Coaching.
Through this role, she bridges science and practice, ensuring that the next generation of trainers are equipped not just with techniques, but with empathy and understanding.
