Spotlight on Salomi M’s 9-Year Path to Strength and Wellness

Salomi M

As we, the OptContent team, started reflecting on the Journey of Salomi Masapogy, we found that she faced a life-altering moment in 2016 at the starting phase of her career.

The sudden loss of her father to diabetes and a heart attack left her devastated, and ignited a realization that would shape the rest of her life.

For Salomi, a journey sparked by loss was a wake-up call. It was her forgotten goal and purpose from 2008, which took the limelight.

It took her two months to step into the fitness industry.

She began her journey as a personal coach to understand health and wellness, and soon it grew into a mission to help others avoid the pain she had endured.

That decision marked the beginning of her nine-year journey that would transform the lives of countless women. Now she coaches while also making her clients into coaches.

Foundation based on Science

Salomi’s foundation was built on science with her Master’s degree in Microbiology.

She began her career as a lecturer, teaching undergraduates and postgraduates. Her love for education nurtured her deep understanding of the human body and its complexities.

Then she took a turn towards corporate leadership. Armed with a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management, she entered the world of multinational corporations.

Over a span of 17 years, she worked with Caterpillar, IBM, Dell, and more, excelling in roles that demanded leadership, organization, and people management (learning & development).

She has served as Associate Director, Area Director overseeing corporate Toastmasters clubs, and also a part of Toastmaster International, where she mentored 200+ members personally and influenced 1000+ members on “communication and leadership skills.”

At Caterpillar, she chaired the well-being committee, leading employee wellness initiatives long before fitness became her full-time calling.

These experiences shaped her unique qualities that later defined her approach to fitness coaching.

Salomi M. Personal Struggles

While the loss of her father sparked her entry into fitness, her own health challenges deepened her commitment.

In 2021, Salomi M. was diagnosed with Diastasis Recti and Umbilical Hernia, conditions that separate and weaken the core muscles and leave women feeling helpless.

Furthermore, she underwent laparoscopic surgery in 2022. Through disciplined rehabilitation, she healed herself with demanding patience.

Her mission is to help women facing similar struggles reclaim their strength and confidence.

Building Expertise

Salomi’s credibility in the fitness industry is backed by an impressive array of international certifications.

She pursued knowledge relentlessly, earning qualifications that span the globe.

Her certifications include:

  • Gold’s Gym Advanced Personal Trainer
  • Female Fitness & Special Population Trainer (2017),
  • Zumba, Strong Nation, Bollybeats, Pilates (2019)
  • NASM/AFAA Group Fitness Instructor, TRX  (2020)
  • ACE Personal Trainer & Nutrition Specialist (2021, 2023)

  • Kalaripayattu Martial Arts (2020-22)
  • Specialized courses in Women’s Wellness, including PCOD/PCOS, Postnatal Fitness, and Menopause Coaching, and more in 2024.

These certifications added depth to her expertise and allowed her to specialize in women’s health issues from postnatal recovery to PCOS and menopause.

Her love for teaching resurfaced when she joined The FitClub Academy in Bangalore.

Here, she trains Women’s Health & Fitness Specialists with specialized courses.

In this role, she bridges the gap between science and techniques, ensuring the next generation of trainers is equipped with an understanding of its practices.

“Climb.fit is the next LinkedIn platform for fitness professionals.”

– Salomi Masapogu

Post leaving her corporate career as a Human Resource professional in 2020, she attended a few fitness-related interviews and realized the systems are broken into pieces.

It was not so supportive and welcoming to corporate members and the existing Fitness trainers.

As a visionary, she began Climbb dot fit platform for corporate communication and the fitness industry in December 2025.

She led the foundation for ongoing projects for corporate communication, leadership, and soft skills.

It bridges the gap between corporate professionals and the fitness industry.

This platform is the new pathway for existing fitness professionals.

In short, it is a space for Fitness jobs, Career Counselling, Mental and Emotional Health, and guidance for upgrading in education.

A Vision for 2026 and Beyond

The timing of Salomi’s work is critical.

With the global wellness economy projected to hit $9.8 trillion by 2029, and Gen Z demanding personalized, science-backed health solutions, the market is flooded with information.

But her wisdom ensures her legacy is multiplied through the hands of the trainers she mentors.

Salomi M. Philosophy

Salomi M. rejects the “39-day transformation” myth. Her philosophy is built on four pillars:

  1. No two bodies share the same history or chemistry.
  2. The program should be backed by science.
  3. Coaching the mind is as important as training the muscles.
  4. Wellness must fit into a life, not replace it.

Conclusion

Salomi’s 9-year journey presents the greatest trials that contain the blueprints of her achievements.

Starting from loss to recovery from her own surgery, she has turned her setbacks into steps to reclaim it.

Now, she is reclaiming the health of individuals and the integrity of the fitness profession through One Life One Body dot Fit and Climbb dot Fit.

Committed to one of the statements, we only have one life and one body, and she believes both reflect the journey towards the health and wellness industry.
